Our Bible Study Mission

  • Provide answers to Bible questions that are literally built on Scripture by gathering any, only, all that God says about a Bible question.

  • Emphasize the process that leads to the Bible answer by building the answer on ‘Scripture-blocks‘ (using the Bible Study Framework), giving the full context of what God says about it…and not going beyond the full context.
  • Be transparent in our journey to a Bible answer, allowing anyone to comment publicly. Contribute what you have understood through your own Bible study or offer dissent. We don’t hold the “right answer,” we only seek to have God’s word divulge it.

bible study: a problem statement

Helped along by the massive Christian book publishing space that’s now over a half-billion dollar industry, people don’t read just their Bible. Instead, they are increasingly turning to men and women who have shared their views about Bible topics and doctrine. Individuals and organizations with their own filter on the Bible are all clamoring to be “heard” and those that are searching for truth seem increasingly obliged to listen.

So why not study just the Bible? It should be a fair question. It is, after all, God’s revealed word for mankind. It’s free. It’s available. It’s translated into every language. It’s also understandable and relatable…or is it? This is often where the argument for “other material” comes in. The Bible can be hard to understand. In certain parts, it can even be a challenge to read. But consider this —

  • the God of the Universe has promised that if we seek Him we will find Him (Luke 11:9 )
  • Jesus confirmed that God’s “word is truth” ( John 17:17 )
  • Paul testifies that God “desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” ( 1 Timothy 2:3-4 )

God wants all to be saved! He’s given us His word and promised that if we seek Him (study it) we will find Him (understand it). Based on these Scriptural facts, shouldn’t we have faith enough that God will open our hearts and minds to understand His will for us?

We believe the Bible is sufficient for all truth and knowledge in God. We further trust that God will fulfill His promise to provide answers through His word for those who diligently seek Him.

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
And it’s my prayer that your love may continue to increase with knowledge and good judgement in order to accept what is excellent, and so be innocent for the day of Christ, filled with righteous good works that come through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God.

In Paul’s introduction to the church at Philippi, he commends the for their “partnership in the gospel” (vs 5) leading to this prayer that he has for them.
