What is written? (ESV)

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

What does it say?

Always be rejoicing in the Lord and exhibit your reasonableness to everyone. The Lord is at hand so don’t be anxious about anything, but petition God through prayer with thanksgiving any request, and the peace of God that exceeds all (human) understanding will guard you in Christ.

What is its immediate context?

In closing his letter to the beloved church in Philippi, Paul sends final encouragement and names some individuals to come together “in the Lord” (vss 2-3).
