Hebrews 8:1-2
What is written? (ESV)
Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, a minister in the holy places, in the true tent that the Lord set up, not man.
What does it say?
Our point is that our high priest [Jesus] is someone who is seated at the right hand of the Father's throne in heaven, ministering in the holy places which is the true temple set up by God and not man.
What is its immediate context?
The writer is concluding his argument begun back at the end of chapter four that Jesus, in the new covenant, is a superior high priest than the house of Aaron.
