Acts 3:19-21
What is written? (ESV)
Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.
What does it say?
Therefore repent (e.g. turn) in order that your sins are removed completely, so that you may be refreshed being in God’s presence. Repent and turn so that refreshing may come from God's presence and He may send the appointed Christ, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the restoration of all things promised through the prophets of old.
What is its immediate context?
A sermon from Peter to the crowd gathered in Solomon’s portico.
