After a weekend visit to the British Museum in London, I assembled this brief index of connections to the Bible record (primarily Old Testament history).  It’s far from exhaustive but does attempt to combine several aspects of artifact, nation, museum location, Bible reference, summary research into one place.

Additionally, a short guide book that was tremendously helpful and informative was “Through the British Museum with the Bible”.  I bought this in the museum book store but wish I had it prior to my visit to do more planning.  I would have been completely overwhelmed without it.  It’s on Amazon — get it as well!!

I have lived most of my life as a Christian but admittedly not a serious Bible student until mid-life. I don't hold any theological degrees nor is my profession related to the church or ministry. However, Scripture tells me that God has given us His Word for any layman like myself to understand.
