There is a belief among some that Jesus did not accomplish all that He came to earth to do. On the surface, the suggestion that God could fail and that Jesus did not accomplish His mission seems absurd.  Yet, this seems to come primarily from some premillennial thought and teaching regarding Jesus and His church. Specifically,  a return of Jesus (aka “His thousand-year reign“) is required in order to do some things like establishing His church or fulfilling God’s promises of old.

How Scripture answers "Did Jesus accomplish all that He came to do?"

Jesus, the “living word”4, had a specific mission and He accomplished all that He came to do on earth1. God the Father was His witness and testified to that fact2. Included in this is the answer to (“Yes”) or the fulfillment of God’s promises from the Old Testament3.
